The highlight of my week

Jamie - Gen K participant

The Gen K workshops were really the highlight of my week. It was at this workshop I learned about the issue of ageism for the very first time. I was very surprised to learn that an act of kindness can be a very simple thing. The workshop taught me a lot about issues in the community and about myself.

Lovely new friends

Norma - Gen K Participant

I really didn’t understand at first how the kindness theme would, or could work, but what we did was wonderful. My younger partner Jamie, was a delight for me to be paired with. I’ve certainly made some lovely new friends.

Workshop facilitator's perspective

Katy Kavanagh, Workshop Facilitator

I had the great pleasure of facilitating a Gen K pilot workshop to a group of open hearted women for the Older Women's Network, NSW. The resources were well structured and there was a great mix of activities including discussion, learning and creativity. I'm proud of what we achieved.

CEO's perspective

Yumi Lee CEO, Older Women's Network NSW

In our work advocating for the rights of older women - Gen K was the missing link. These workshops helped us to create a community that listens and builds empathy and is supportive of older women.
